Shinji National Bee Reserve was declared to be a National Bee Reserve in March 05, 2021 and Gazzetted through Government Notice (GN) No 224 of 2021. The reserve covers an area of 3,239 Ha, being one among bee reserves with large area managed by TFS.  It was surveyed and recorded with Job Map number Jb 3018 of 2020.

Location

 This reserve is located in Ileje district of Songwe region. It occupies a forest area that was formally Shinji Forest.
