Tanzania is one of the leading honey producers in Africa due to its favourable climate and diverse range of vegetation that support beekeeping, capable of pulling 2 million bee colonies. Currently, TFS produces approximately 34,000 metric tons of honey and 9,200 tons of beeswax annually. There are also over 3 million beehives.
