Demands for bee products especially honey and beeswax in the world market are very high and demand for Tanzania honey and Beeswax exceeds supply. 

• Misitu honey shops

Two bee products are sold in Tanzania; honey and beeswax. The demand for honey as food and a product with healing qualities is about 50%.  Produced honey is sold locally in the production of beer, honey and food. It is also used as industrial honey in confectioneries and pharmaceutical industries. Misitu Honey harvested from different apiaries is traded in TFS honey shops located in Dar es Salaam at Mpingo House, Central Zone HQ Dodoma, Manyoni District Office and SaoHill Forest Plantation. 

Common variety of honey based on the vegetation include:
